Video of 94-Year-Old World War II Vet Dancing to Christmas Music Will Melt Your Heart

Back in 2016, a video of 94-year-old (now 97!) World War II veteran Charles Franzke went viral across the internet, and it’s pretty easy to see why.

It contains classic Christmas music in the form of Johnny Marks’ version of ‘Holly Jolly Christmas.’ It’s got dance moves that would leave many a younger man in envy. It’s got a hero in a veteran naval pilot as the focus.

Oh, and the icing on the cake – Franzke is showing off his Christmas spirit all while sporting a “Got freedom?” t-shirt.

Spectacular!

Via Fox News Insider:

A close friend of an almost-94-year-old World War II Navy veteran posted a video to Twitter of him dancing to Christmas music, and it soon went viral.

Charles Franzke, who turns 94 on Thursday, can be seen grooving out to Burl Ives’ rendition of Johnny Marks’ classic ‘Holly Jolly Christmas’, while wearing a ‘Got Freedom?’ shirt.

Franzke’s friend Karyn Roelke told Fox News she shot the video of the veteran showcasing his Christmas cheer.

Roelke said Franzke and his wife Beverly are also celebrating their 77th anniversary together.

If all of that wasn’t enough to light up your heart this holiday season, how about this?

Franzke proposed to his wife by sending her an engagement from his post on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific during the war. The man was fighting for our country, our freedom, and all the while thinking about his one true love.

What a terrific story!

Merry Christmas Mr. Franzke, happy anniversary, and thanks for giving us all a smile!
