Wikileaks Pledges $20,000 to Catch Obama Administration Destroying Documents

Ever since Hillary Clinton’s historic loss to President-elect Donald J. Trump in November, Democrats have been desperately searching for excuses to justify why their candidate failed to capture the White House.

Over the past two months, Democrats have blamed the alleged Russian hacking of the DNC, and Wikileaks’ subsequent posting of the hacked emails for Hillary’s loss. Despite unproven claims by prominent Democrats, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has insisted that the Russian government did not provide them with any leaked DNC emails, an suggested that the documents came from within the Democratic Party itself.

Well, now that Hillary’s loss is in the record books and Donald Trump will take over as president in less than three weeks, Wikileaks is offering a $20,000 reward to anyone who catches Obama administration officials destroying public records.

The $20,000 offer came on the same night that Assange’s highly anticipated interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity aired in which the Wikileaks head addressed the claims that Russia was behind the DNC hack.

From The American Mirror:

“We can say, we have said, repeatedly over the last two months, that our source is not the Russian government and it is not a state party,” Assange told Sean Hannity. In December, the Daily Mail reported a former British ambassador received the documents in a Washington, D.C. park from a Democrat whistle blower.

“Neither of [the leaks] came from the Russians,” Craig Murray, former British ambassador to Uzbekistan, told the paper. “The source had legal access to the information. The documents came from inside leaks, not hacks.” Murray said the leaker(s) was motivated by “disgust at the corruption of the Clinton Foundation and the tilting of the primary election playing field against Bernie Sanders.”

It is unclear at this point if Assange and his Wikileaks colleagues are privy to any specific information that the Obama administration might want to destroy before leaving the White House or if this is simply a general request to ensure that the public is not kept in the dark about the numerous scandals over the past 8 years.

Given that the Obama administration has a history of being less than transparent with the American public, it wouldn’t be surprising to hear that the White House would want to destroy unflattering or embarrassing documents before Trump takes office.
