When Michelle Obama was First lady, she often took the opportunity to shake her tail feather in front of cameras while many viewers feel years of tradition and decorum all but abandoned.
The First Lady was on stage at the White House Easter Egg Roll celebrating the fifth anniversary of her “Let’s Move!” campaign to battle childhood obesity — the theme of this year’s event was #GimmeFive. It seems the real purpose was a chance for her to get “jiggy with it” on stage and pander to minorities as the hip-hop First Lady.
Does FLOTUS remember who she is and what she represents? Everyone knows there is nothing wrong with dancing, of course, but not everyone is the First Lady of the United States. She holds a very powerful office and with that office, respect is demanded.
This choreographed routine gave the world another opportunity to witness what has become of the once-dignified position of the First Lady of the United States of America, an office she doesn’t have the right to damage.
The week before this she was “Mom Dancing” again on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” Before that, she was spotted dancing on “Ellen” and doing “The Dougie” years ago during a 2011 visit to Alice Dean Middle School.
