Tucker Carlson Grills Professor For Proof That Russians Helped Trump

Tucker Carlson Russia

Is it any wonder Tucker Carlson is drawing massive ratings for Fox News with his new show, Tucker Carlson Tonight, when he repeatedly wrecks leftists with a little used debate tactic called ‘the truth?’

The latest evidence of this comes from Robert McElvaine, a Mississippi history professor who wrote in the Huffington Post, “There is substantial evidence that Russia stole the election for Donald Trump.”

“Substantial evidence.”

Carlson brought him on to cite his ‘evidence,’ and despite it being ‘substantial’ the professor was unable to offer any proof.

The exchange got heated at points, and Carlson eventually cut the professor off.

“You are saying irresponsible things, you’re misleading people,” the host blasted. “I’m cutting you off, because I gave you a chance and you refused to be real with me.”

Take a look at the exchange …

To the contrary, evidence is starting to develop indicating the Democrat and media narrative regarding the alleged Russian hacks is falling apart.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has insisted all along that the leaks of DNC and Clinton campaign e-mails did not come from the Russians.

A former British ambassador, Craig Murray, claimed that he had met the person responsible for the leaks and that they had no Russian ties.

“I know who leaked them,” Murray said. “I’ve met the person who leaked them, and they are certainly not Russian and it’s an insider.”

Even more damaging to the narrative – Obama’s Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, has refused to accept the CIA’s assessment about Russian cyberattacks helping President Donald Trump win the election.

Yet, the Huffington Post provides a column and safe space for this professor to claim things that are at best unproven at the moment, and at worst flat-out false.

Talk about your fake news.
