Military Whistleblowers Reveal Man They Want To Lead America’s VA!

Trump VA

One of the most important cabinet positions President-elect Donald J. Trump has to fill is the Department of Veterans Affairs, which has been plagued by scandal over the past several years.

Earlier this week we reported that Trump was considering Sarah Palin to take over the VA, but now we have learned that 4 prominent military whistleblowers believe Fox News contributor and Army veteran Pete Hegseth should lead the agency.

According to The Daily Caller, 4 whistleblowers, “Brandon Coleman, Ryan Honl, Joseph Colon, and Shea Wilkes urged GOP President-elect Donald Trump to choose Hegseth, despite the inevitable opposition that will come from veterans’ organizations and federal employee union the American Federation of Government Employees.”

Hegseth is the former CEO of Concerned Veterans for America, whose focus is on reforming the VA, including giving the agency power to fire bad employees, something that has been extremely difficult to implement.

The four whistleblowers were highly criticized by some of their colleagues for exposing some of the major problems within the VA that needed to be addressed:

Wilkes and Honl are former Army officers. Colon is a Navy veteran, and Coleman is a Marine Corps veteran.

Coleman, Honl, Colon and Wilkes have frequently appeared on TV and were featured in articles about waste, incompetence and poor care at their respective VA facilities. They have also faced retaliation from the administration after bringing to light serious, unaddressed issues.

“These organizations each want to keep the “status quo” and to keep lining their pockets at the expense of our nation’s heroes. This is exactly the reason Mr. Hegseth is the right choice to run the VA,” the whistleblowers wrote. “The current problems with the VA are not a funding issue, as they are a bad management issue.”

Another name that has recently emerged as a possible contender to lead the VA is former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown, who received the surprise endorsement of far-left Senator Elizabeth Warren. The liberal senator’s endorsement of Brown might hurt his chances among conservatives.

Hegseth has said that helping America’s veterans is in his blood but he currently has no desire to leave his job at Fox News.

Do you think Hegseth would be a solid pick to reform the VA? Share your thoughts with us below!
