Trump Might Release Iran Nuke Documents That Obama’s Been Hiding

Iran nuclear deal trump

President Obama’s Iran nuclear deal is a disaster for America and Middle East peace. But it’s even worse than anyone imagined: Obama has been hiding top secret documents that contain “hidden agreements” about the deal that they’ve kept from the American people.

Despite claims that they are the “most transparent administration in history,” the White House has kept 17 documents pertaining to the deal locked in ultra-secure facilities used to house top secret info.

Why? What could possibly be in these documents that the president doesn’t want ordinary Americans to see?

We might just find out soon enough …

Via the Daily Beast:

The private files outlining hidden agreements in the Iran nuclear deal may be released in one of President Donald Trump’s first actions in office.

Senior officials who will be part of the Trump administration are already discussing what so-far-unseen information about the Iran agreement they will be able to make public after January, according to an individual who has participated in those conversations.

Releasing Iran nuclear deal documents would be cheered on by hawkish lawmakers who have opposed the agreement, and bolstered by cabinet appointees who have long called for transparency about it. Michael Flynn, who has been tapped for national security adviser, and Mike Pompeo, who has been picked for CIA director, have both long been bullish on providing transparency on internal information regarding Iran.

Rep. Peter Roskam, an Illinois Republican, explained that “The Obama administration has long known its position is indefensible, so they’ve chosen to hide unclassified documents from the public.”

“The American people know the Iran deal is bad,” he added. “I can tell you it’s even worse than most people think.”

While Obama has been lying and hiding secret deals from the American people, President Trump could blow the whistle on these shady schemes.

Jeff Dunetz, reporter for the Lid, indicates that there are other documents which Trump could release that Obama has kept hidden from public view – documents pertaining to Iran, in addition to the 17 mentioned above.

  • The second group includes documents signed by senior State Department official Brett McGurk, outlining the terms of a much-criticized prisoner swap in which four Americans were released in prison in exchange for the transfer of $1.7 billion in cash to Iran—a deal that Trump himself lambasted frequently during the presidential campaign.
  • And the third group includes documents outlining the “secret” exemptions to the nuclear deal that Iran was allowed. These exemptions were approved by a joint commission created by the deal to oversee its implementation.

“I hope when President Trump comes to office, he makes the Obama administration the most transparent in history,” a top GOP official stated. “Because they have not been transparent.”

Obama won’t have any choice but to level with the American people come January when Trump assumes office.
