HA! Liberals FREAKING OUT Over Trump’s Alleged Economic ‘Flip Flop’

Trump carrier

Donald Trump hasn’t even taken office yet and the media bias is already unbearable. Days ago Carrier Manufacturing announced that 1,000 jobs they had planned to ship overseas to Mexico would be staying in the U.S. after striking a deal with President-elect Trump, but if you looked at the headlines, you’d get the impression that a disaster just happened.

Here’s just a sampling of the insanity.

bias

All of a sudden, the same people who praised Obama’s auto-bailout are concerned about politicians meddling with business. Of course, in the case of the auto bailout, taxpayers were directly subsidizing giants like General Motors, and in the end, taxpayers lost nearly $10 billion.

In the case of Carrier, Trump is giving tax incentives to Carrier to keep jobs domestically (actually allowing businesses to keep more of what THEY earn). It only cost roughly $800 per job saved in terms of tax incentives, and those thousand workers sure pay a lot more than $800 a year in taxes. In other words, Trump’s deal actually SAVED taxpayer money.

And what are liberals mad about now? That Trump broke a campaign promise in NOT giving rich people more tax breaks. You can’t make this s**t up.

In terms of his tax plan, which Trump seemed to have several different versions of throughout his campaign, critics warned that — under a Trump administration — the wealthiest Americans would see significant tax cuts, while some low- and middle-income households could actually end up paying more.

On Wednesday, however, Trump’s Secretary of the Treasury nominee Steven Mnuchin laid out a very different plan — one that would include “the most significant middle income tax cut since Reagan,” as he told Bloomberg.

In an interview on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” Wednesday morning, Mnuchin introduced a plan that, in some ways, seemed the opposite of what critics had warned was coming.

As Mnuchin explained: “Any reductions we have in upper-income taxes will be offset by less deductions so that there will be no absolute tax cut for the upper class. There will be a big tax cut for the middle class, but any tax cuts we have for the upper class will be offset by less deductions that pay for it.”

In terms of the idea that the middle class would suffer under Trump’s tax policies, he added: “When we work with Congress and go through this, it will be very clear. This is a middle-income tax cut. And the child care credit is a big aspect of this.”

And how did the New York Times report on it? “Trump’s Flip-Flop on Taxes.”

It’s a heads I win tails you lose game they’re playing. If Trump stuck to his original tax plan they’d attack him for giving “tax breaks to the wealthy,” or accuse him of spreading “trickle down economics.” Since he changed his position, now they get to accuse him of flip flopping.

Plenty of useful idiots on Twitter joined in the criticism:

The middle class getting to keep more of their own money that they earned – the HORROR!
