President-Elect Trump Announces His Campaign Slogan for 2020

keep america great

During the 2016 election, President-elect Donald J. Trump’s campaign slogan was “Make America Great Again” and it took off like wildfire across the country.

“Make America Great Again” is a simple slogan that resonated with everyday Americans, and merchandise, specifically hats, with the catchy slogan began appearing at Trump rallies nationwide.

Well, it appears as though the incoming president is already looking ahead to 2020, telling The Washington Post that his 2020 re-election slogan will be “Keep America Great.”

Trump has not even been officially sworn in as president, and he is already thinking ahead to his re-election campaign! This is genius.

From The Washington Post:

Halfway through his interview with The Washington Post, Trump shared a bit of news: He already has decided on his slogan for a reelection bid in 2020.

“Are you ready?” he said. “ ‘Keep America Great,’ exclamation point.”

“Get me my lawyer!” the president-elect shouted.

Two minutes later, one arrived.

“Will you trademark and register, if you would, if you like it — I think I like it, right? Do this: ‘Keep America Great,’ with an exclamation point. With and without an exclamation. ‘Keep America Great,’ ” Trump said.

“Got it,” the lawyer replied.

That bit of business out of the way, Trump returned to the interview.

“I never thought I’d be giving [you] my expression for four years [from now],” he said. “But I am so confident that we are going to be, it is going to be so amazing. It’s the only reason I give it to you. If I was, like, ambiguous about it, if I wasn’t sure about what is going to happen — the country is going to be great.”

It seems fitting that President-elect Trump’s 2020 slogan would be a continuation of his 2016 “Make America Great Again” slogan. For the last 8 years, millions of Americans have felt left behind in Obama’s economy, as jobs and wages have not rebounded to pre-recession levels. In addition, many Americans believed that under the current administration, President Obama was more concerned with protecting illegal immigrants than the average American worker.

“Make America Great Again” spoke to millions of Americans who felt that the “change” Obama had promised them had not improved their lives, and they wanted something new… they wanted a better, more prosperous America.

Now, it’s time for Trump to get to work!
