Here Are My Top 9 U.S. Presidents of ALL-TIME And I Won’t Apologize For It Either!

Why nine? It’s because I wanted to be different.

When I thought about creating this list, I took into account the fact that I am not a historian. However, I do enjoy history lessons. I enjoy looking into the past or reading past events that helped shape this country into what it is today. Now, this nation is not perfect. It’s gone through growing pains, and I join many in admitting that fact.

In the office of the President, the leader of the free world sits and governs based on the constitutional blueprint for our great nation. We’ve had 44 presidents, and each of them has many successes and flaws. But these 10 stick out in my mind as the best of the best. They exhibit what I want in a leader and how this nation needs someone in this mold to bring us back from the brink.

Check out who made the cut:

  1. Abraham Lincoln – Elected as the 16th president of the United States, Honest Abe is known for freeing the slaves with the Emancipation Proclamation. He also defeated the South to unite a nation.
  2. George Washington – As the very first president of the United States of America, George Washington is one of the greatest national heroes that our country has ever had the fortune of harboring. He didn’t want to be king, and when he was done, he left the seat.
  3. Dwight D. Eisenhower – Ike, as he is affectionately known as, supported the 1957 Civil Rights Act, which is widely forgotten as a Republican bill and served as the Supreme Allied Commander during World War II. He was a hugely popular figure in the United States, and he was able to carry 83% of the electoral vote
  4. Ronald W. Reagan – Ronald Reagan served as the 40th president of the United States, and his characteristic charisma and unflinching resoluteness will continue to inspire Americans for many years to come. He was the last President that WAS the President in my opinion. The world knew it and respected him while he was in office.
  5. John F. Kennedy – He had the power to inspire and considering that he only served as the president for a brief stint of about two years before being assassinated, he achieved a lot.
  6. Theodore Roosevelt – Theodore Roosevelt served as the 26th president of the United States of America, and his charismatic personality and unyielding machismo has made him on of the fondest American presidents. I watched a documentary on him, and he survived so much family heartache to rise to be a great president.
  7. Thomas Jefferson – As the 3rd President, not only was Jefferson the main author of the seminal Declaration of Independence document, but he also served as the U.S. Minister to France and the U.S. Secretary of State in the years immediately preceding his presidency.
  8. Harry S. Truman – Harry Truman served as the 33rd president of the United States of America, and he first attained this position after Franklin D. Roosevelt died in 1945.  Truman authorized the usage of America’s first atomic bombs against the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and as the Japanese quickly surrendered after that, and a devastating ground invasion of Japan was avoided.
  9. Grover Cleveland – He forced the railroads to return 81 million acres of government which they had taken illegally. He took care to scrutinize every bill the Congress passed and vetoed many of them which he thought weren’t beneficial to his countrymen.
