#NeverTrump Movement Just Received Terrible News… Trump Is Smiling!

NeverTrump
As the dust settles on the explosive GOP presidential primary, many Republicans are wondering, “Where do we go from here?” For staff at the Republican National Committee, the headquarters of the Republican Party, that question is quite literal, as a New York Times story surveying Republican leaders’ opinions on Donald Trump found out.

In the middle of the article was this little nugget (H/T Cheri Jacobus):

For some in the party, the question of whether to embrace Mr. Trump is not merely an intellectual exercise. Some staff members at the Republican National Committee were told Wednesday that if they were unable to get behind the nominee, they should leave by the end of the week.

This shows just how serious RNC Chairman Reince Priebus was when he tweeted, “Donald Trump will be presumptive GOP nominee, we all need to unite and focus on defeating Hillary Clinton.”

I know people think the RNC pulls the strings for the Establishment behind the scenes, but the truth is they do not get involved in supporting candidates before the primary. It’s just not how the committee functions. Now that Donald Trump is the nominee, the RNC must swing into action to support him, something many are aghast about. If I was still RNC staff, I think I would have to walk out that door this week.

It will be interesting to see if the number of people heading for the exits is significant. Although, if you work for the RNC, you should have been well prepared for this development. Good luck and God speed!

What do you think? Would you quit your job rather than work to support Donald Trump as the Republican nominee or would you be happy to support him? Sound off in the comments!
