Obama to Release Intended 9/11 Hijackers, 18 Total Terrorists from Guantanamo Bay

Over the past two months, President Obama has been using his status as a lame duck to push his liberal agenda and hinder the incoming Trump administration in numerous ways.

From banning off-shore oil drilling in large swaths of America to commuting over 100 criminals, Obama has made it clear he wants to make President-elect Donald Trump’s time in office miserable.

Well, with less than 3 weeks to go in office, Obama may have done the worst thing imaginable, announcing that he plans to transfer 18 more Guantanamo Bay detainees, including two men who intended to be 9/11 co-conspirators.

Obama’s move comes just days after he announced that four prisoners were being sent to Saudi Arabia, where it is unknown what their ultimate fate will be. In addition to the two 9/11 co-conspirators – including one who intended to be an actual suicide pilot – the list of terrorists being transferred include an accused senior al Qaeda bomb maker as well as the terror group’s top financial manager.

From Daily Mail:

According to a military source briefed on the process, as total of 22 detainees are being prepared for transfer out of the camp, also known as Gitmo, before January 20.

On Thursday afternoon, the Pentagon announced the ‘transfer’ of four detainees to Saudi Arabia –  Yemenis Salem Ahmed Hadi, Mohammed Ghanim, Mohammed Bawazir, and Abdullah al Shabli.

A source told DailyMail.com there will be three more sets of transfers before Obama leaves office on January 20.

Although the White House has not specified which inmates will be transferred next – or which foreign countries have agreed to accept them – it has indicated that this will be a priority for Obama in his final days in office.

Obama’s decision to move the “worst of the worst” detainees held at Gitmo during his final days in office should come as no surprise given that the outgoing president has pledged, but failed, to close the military prison since he first took office.

Here’s what Daily Mail says about Ramzi bin al Shibh, the terrorist who planned to be one of the suicide pilots on that deadly morning in September, 2001:

Ramzi bin al Shibh. 44. Once Mohamed Atta’s roommate and originally supposed to be one of the 9/11 pilots, the Yemeni was turned down for a visa and instead became a coordinator – even giving Atta the date for the atrocities. He was one of the FBI’s most wanted until his capture in 2002 in a gun battle in Pakistan. Trial on murder charges by military commission has still to happen, despite charges being brought in 2008.  Detained since 2006.

Republicans, including President-elect Trump, vehemently oppose Obama’s plan to close Guantanamo Bay and move its prisoners to other facilities in the country, or in some cases send them to Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia. Obama’s decision to transfer the worst of the worst terrorists at Gitmo in the final days of his presidency shows the lengths he will go to in weakening America and failing to protect us.

9/11 plotters should NEVER be released. They murdered 3,000 innocent American citizens. They deserve the worst punishments imaginable.
