In the midst of a very contentious interview, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich dared Fox News host Megyn Kelly to say something about Bill Clinton on live television – but she couldn’t bring herself to do it.
The odd part was that she was more than willing to say it about Donald Trump just moments earlier.
The interview was already heating up when Kelly started one topic under the premise that “If Trump is a sexual predator …”
Gingrich would have none of it, immediately firing back that “He’s not a sexual predator.”
“I’m sick and tired of people like you,” Gingrich fumed, “using language that’s inflammatory that’s not true.”
Then he dared Kelly, on live television, to say the exact same words about Bill Clinton, who actually has been accused for decades of being a sexual predator.
Via the Washington Examiner:
“That’s why we’re sending Bill Clinton back to the East Wing because after all, you’re worried about the sexual predators,” Gingrich responded. “You want to comment on whether — you want to comment on whether the Clinton ticket has a relationship to a sexual predator?”
Kelly said the show has covered those allegations as well, but Gingrich pushed back.
“I want to hear your words, Bill Clinton sexual predator. I dare ya. Say Bill Clinton sexual predator,” Gingrich dared Kelly.
“Mr. Speaker, excuse me sir. Excuse me,” Kelly interjected. “We’re going to have to leave it at that and you can take your anger issues and spend some time working on them, Mr. Speaker.”
You might as well tell the rest of the American people to go deal with their ‘anger issues’ because most of them don’t want to see an Bill in the White House.
Trump himself congratulated Gingrich for fighting back against Kelly’s assertions.
