During a concert in Hartford, Connecticut, Miranda Lambert saw something out in the crowd that instantly reduced her to tears.

What was it?

A soldier – and obviously a major fan of the country star – was holding a sign which read “3 combat tours. Your voice was the last thing I listened to every night! Thank you!!!”

“Really?” she asked, before reaching down to the crowd and taking the sign so she could show everyone in attendance, her own band included.

That’s when the tears began to flow. What an amazing moment!

Lambert was so moved she couldn’t continue the song, but an appreciative and patriotic crowd picked her up and continued singing for her. Wow!

Via Taste of Country:

Miranda Lambert broke down in tears during a concert on Friday night (Aug. 19) in Hartford, Conn. Midway through her set, she was singing the first verse of “The House That Built Me” when a fan’s sign caught her eye.

“3 combat tours. [Your] voice was the last thing I listened to EVERY NIGHT! THANK YOU!!!” the message read.

Lambert walked over, picked up the white poster board and held it up for the entire venue to see. Video shows her crying before showing it to her band. She propped the sign up on stage by her microphone stand and tried to sing the song one more time before wiping tears from her eyes. Unable to get through it, she grabbed her heart and said thank you to the veteran, who was also crying.

“Second verse, I gotta get a drink. Y’all, I gotta do it,” she says in the clip before walking toward the back of the stage.

After she takes a swig of her drink, she motions for the audience to take over on the song, as she often does, and they oblige — the entire venue finishes the song for her. Lambert can be seen wiping more tears from her eyes with a scarf on her mic stand.

Lambert is a true American patriot, making The Political Insider’s list of Top 10 Coolest Conservative Celebrities.

One of her more famous quotes being “The more I learn about my government, the more I love my guns.”

She showed up at the Country Music Awards and stunned anti-gun liberals by wearing a pair of stilettos that featured a toy gun and holster on the straps.

You gotta love it!

It’s pretty obvious our troops love her for her conservative, pro-military, pro-gun efforts as well.
