Michelle Comments on Trump – Immediately Embarrass Herself

Michelle Obama

Barack Obama campaigned on a platform of hope and change, and after eight years of his presidency, few of us had any hope, and nothing more than pocket change.

What exactly is the man’s legacy? $20 trillion in national debt? Record high levels of government dependency? A healthcare bill we had to “read to find out whats in it,” that contributed to further skyrocketing premiums? The rise of ISIS? There’s not much to be proud of.

And despite all that, when the American public voted for change once again in electing Donald Trump, they’re acting like it’s the end of the world (as if eight years of Obama didn’t pave the path towards Trump’s victory).

Michelle Obama said that under president-elect Donald Trump “now we’re feeling what not having hope feels like.”

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired on “CBS This Morning” Friday, the first lady said that President Barack Obama did try to deliver hope to the American people.

“See, now we’re feeling what not having hope feels like,” Michelle Obama said.

Watch below:

Notice how she said her husband “tried to deliver hope.” Yeah, he did try – he just failed miserably…

“Hope is necessary,” she added. “It’s a necessary concept. And Barack didn’t just talk about hope because he thought it was just a nice slogan to get votes.”

“I mean, he and I and so many believe — what else do you have if you don’t have hope,” she continued. “What do you give your kids if you can’t give them hope?”

“I feel that Barack has been that for the nation in ways that people will come to appreciate,” Obama said. “Having a grown-up in the White House who can say to you in times of crisis and turmoil, ‘Hey it’s going to be OK. Let’s remember the good things we have. Let’s look at the future. Let’s look at all the things that we are building.’”

“All of this is important for our kids to stay focused and to feel like their work isn’t in vane, that their lives aren’t in vain,” she added. “What do we do if we don’t have hope, Oprah?”

If eight years of Obama is what “hope” looks like – I can only wonder when the definition of “hope” became interchangeable with despair.
I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling pretty hopeful about Trump’s presidency. What do you all think? Let us know in the comments and share this post on Facebook and Twitter!
