Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin signed a bill into law recently that allows some school personnel to carry guns in schools. The reasoning obviously is to protect the students. This allows all schools to better defend students from a madman entering the school with the intent of harming students and faculty.
Wilson Public Schools will soon have six teachers carrying guns in the classroom. In November, those teachers will have their concealed carry permits and will be allowed to have firearms allowing them to protect their students from a school shooter. Superintendent Eric Smith hopes to have an at least one armed staff member in each school building.
This is certain to have gun control ninnies upset as they don’t trust teachers with their Second Amendment rights. But, the truth is that allowing teachers to be armed will add a layer of defense and an immediate response if there is a school shooting.

The school is paying for the concealed carry training and permits but the staff will have to provide their own firearms.
