Liberal College Kid Asked Cruz To Sign Communist Manifesto, Then THIS Happened!

Ted Cruz

Oh those wacky liberal pranksters and their jokes about communism. What won’t they think of next?

One of those pranksters tried to pull a fast one on presidential candidate Ted Cruz, asking him to sign a copy of his “economic textbook.”

That “economic textbook” was actually a copy of the Communist Manifesto, a political pamphlet written by Karl Marx, advocating for the forced redistribution of all land and property for the good of the national community.

Communism, by any measure, had been the leading ideological cause of murder in the 20th century.

Definitely joke worthy in the eyes of the far-left.

Still, Cruz managed to turn the prank into an incredible teaching moment, and perhaps even getting the last ‘laugh’ when he signed the book.

“Millions have suffered because of this.”

Via Mediaite:

The young man who handed the senator the book told him it was an “economic textbook.” Cruz responded: “That… would be the Communist Manifesto.” He added: “You know what? I’ll sign it as well.”

The man bearing the book told the candidate, “You have a good sense of humor.”

After telling reporters what he had written in the book, Cruz quipped: “I note this as the son of a Cuban immigrant whose family has seen firsthand just exactly what communism [does]. But thank you for coming out.” And Cruz shook the man’s hand.

Reason explains the toll that communism has had on the world, writing, “more people died as a result of communism than from homicide (58 million) and genocide (30 million) put together.”

They added, “The combined death tolls of WWI (37 million) and WWII (66 million) exceed communism’s total by only 9 million.”

Liberals in the media still saw this man’s effort as a joke. The Week referred to him as “witty,” while Cruz simply “did not get” the knee-slapping joke. They whined, “Way to ruin a good laugh, Ted.”

Most of the reaction on social media however, was supportive of Cruz’s witty response, saying “he’s not wrong” and calling it “the perfect inscription.”
