This is perhaps the best suggestion we’ve heard yet in dealing with the disgraceful United Nations.
In a move widely panned by members on both sides of the political aisle, the Obama administration opted to abstain during a United Nations vote condemning Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer said that the White House decision to not veto the resolution amounted to America “join(ing) the jackals at the UN.”
He also offered a suggestion for President-elect Donald Trump in dealing with those jackals in the United Nations – “Trump ought to find a way to put his name on” the UN headquarters “and turn it into condos.”

On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” columnist Charles Krauthammer argued the UN spends its time “trying to attack the only Jewish state on the planet,” and “undermining the United States and democracy” and the UN headquarters should be turned into condos by President-Elect Donald Trump.
Krauthammer wants to know why the United States financially supports such a despicable organization.
“We’re paying an organization that spends half its time — more than half its time and energy and resources trying to attack the only Jewish state on the planet, a tiny little spec, while genocide mayhem, murder, terrorism is going on all over the world,” he said.
“The rest of the time is spend undermining the United States and democracy and our allies around the world,” Krauthammer added.
“It’s an organization that exacerbates tensions, it does not assuage them. It was born in hope, the end of the second World War. It turned out to be a disaster. Any move to minimize our support for it, any move to get it out of the U.S., imagine if headquarters were in Zimbabwe. The amount of weight and coverage it would get would be zero. I think it’s good real estate in downtown New York City. Trump ought to find a way to put his name on it and turn it into condos.”
Several prominent members of Congress have declared that the U.S. should defund the United Nations until their anti-Israel resolution is reversed.
