Record-Breaking Olympian Makes Big Trump Announcement

Kim Rhode
Kim Rhode just became the first woman to medal in 6 straight Olympics – but you’ve probably never heard her name and it’s doubtful the media will cover this incredible record.

That’s because Kim Rhode is a professional shooter and guns are scary and evil to reporters. And she just endorsed Donald Trump, who is also scary and evil to reporters. That’s a double strike against her – you can just imaging the press covering her cringing and shaking their heads.

Rhode, who won the bronze on Friday in women’s skeet, came out for The Donald, saying, “I’m definitely Trump! He’s very much for the Second Amendment.”

The media wasn’t happy about that and pressed, “But as a female athlete who just made Olympic history wouldn’t you want a woman president?” Rhode wasn’t fazed by the pressure to vote her lady parts and support Hillary. She said, “You know I mean definitely having a [female] president would be incredible just not Hillary.”

Rhode knows guns are about so much more than sport – they are essential to protect our most basic freedoms. “We should have the right to keep and bear arms, to protect ourselves and our family,” she told Time magazine earlier in the week. “The second amendment was put in there not just so we can go shoot skeet or go shoot trap. It was put in so we could defend our first amendment, the freedom of speech, and also to defend ourselves against our own government.”

That, along with how it personally affects her and her family, is why she speaks out against gun control.

Indeed, Rhode says a series of gun control measures passed in California following the San Bernardino attack are onerous and a misguided response to the tragedy. “I shoot 500 to 1,000 rounds a day, so having to do a background check every time I purchase ammo, or every time I want to bring ammo in or out of a competition or a match, those are very challenging for me,” says Rhode. “Also, I’ve had guns in my family for generations that have been passed down, and now I’m going to register them as assault weapons. And they will not be passed on to my son, or to me from my father. It definitely does effect me and give me a reason to speak out more.”

I am so proud to have such a patriotic American representing us in the Olympic Games!

Go Kim Rhode and Team USA!
