Kansas Police Had to Shut Down 911 Callers Over the Presidential Debate

debate 911

Perhaps it was an inability to take moderator Lester Holt’s perpetual shilling for Hillary Clinton any longer.

Maybe it was frustration with Donald Trump not going for the jugular and blasting Hillary for her many scandals.

Or maybe it was simply a matter of viewers finally losing patience listening to Hillary’s many, many lies.

Regardless of the reason, the police department in Lawrence, Kansas, sent out two of the funniest social media warnings to the public on debate night.

Via KSFM News:

Some people just can’t wait to talk politics — prompting a Kansas police department to ask people to stop misusing the 911 system.

The tweet from their official account reads:

“REMINDER

We realize politics can make emotions run high, but being mad at a presidential candidate in a debate is NOT a reason to call 911.”

Check out the tweet below …

We’re not exactly sure how many calls the police department fielded that prompted them to have to send out a public announcement, but it’s truly remarkable that anyone would call 911 over a presidential debate.

Shortly thereafter, the Lawrence police got a little cute with their warning to the public. They addressed debate drinking games – you know, that game where you take a shot after every time Hillary calls you a racist?

Their message involved Trump, however, and is still pretty funny.

Surely they considered the fact that some people were taking drinks after every time Hillary told a lie, but those people were probably passed out on the floor 15 minutes after the debate started.
