Here’s One Terrorism Statistic The “Peace Prize” President Doesn’t Want You to See

Prior to 2008, Barack Obama was considered the man destined to save this country from his predecessor’s failures, the man who would end wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and end terrorism just because of who he was.

Nowhere was that expectation more apparent than when the President was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize, based not on tangible accomplishment, but simply upon expectations.

In awarding the President, the Nobel committee wrote “Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future.”

That ‘better future’ didn’t quite pan out in regards to the threat of terrorism in our world. A new report indicates that terrorism-related deaths have more than quadrupled since Obama took office.

Via Breitbart:

The worldwide number of annual terrorist deaths has more than quadrupled since President Barack Obama was inaugurated in January 2009.

Deaths from terrorism increased 80 percent last year to an all-time-record of 32,658 people killed, compared to 18,111 in 2013. The number is up about 426 percent from the 7,654 killed by terrorists in 2008 under President Bush, according to the latest report from ‘Vision of Humanity.’

The 2014 economic cost of 13,370 terrorist attacks in 93 countries included property damage, medical costs, lost income for victims, and the indirect costs of preventing and responding to terrorist acts. The annual “Global Terrorism Index” report estimated those costs hit an all-time-high in 2014 of $52.9 billion.

After being nominated just weeks into his presidency, the Nobel committee wrote of Obama, “Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts.”

Considering 25,000 more people per year are losing their lives under Obama than they were under President Bush, it seems ‘dialogue and negotiations’ with terrorists aren’t working.

Perhaps it was Bush’s adherence to Ronald Reagan’s policy of “peace through strength” that actually helped make the world a safer, more peaceful place to live.

President Obama would do well to turn over his Peace Prize to the former President in light of these new facts.

Comment: Is the world a safer, more peaceful place under President Obama?
