Deaf Woman Gets Implants To Hear Again – The First Thing She Heard Shocked Her

Deaf Woman

A little heartwarming video to enjoy on Good Friday.

After receiving cochlear implants that allowed her to hear for the first time, Andrea Diaz was shocked by the first words that came out of her boyfriend’s mouth. No one was expecting what happened next!

It was a marriage proposal.

In the video, Diaz can be seen getting emotional from being able to hear sounds for the first time. That’s when the emotions got amped up even further.

Via Metro UK:

Andrea Diaz had just received the implant – an electronic device that can help people to hear who find difficulty in using hearing aids – when her boyfriend used the moment to pop the question.

In the video posted online, Andrea can be seen breaking down as soon as she is able to hear and react to voices.

That’s when her boyfriend, Kevin Peakman steps in.

In the romantic proposal, he says that he wanted it to be one of the first things she hears, saying: ‘I wanted to make one of the first things that you hear me asking you to marry me.’

She immediately says ‘yes’ and tearfully says ‘I can hear your voice’.

“Yes, te amo” she replied.

One person wrote, “Oh my god that was as romantic as it gets! Gooooo dude! And yay for her hearing!”

Another took the time to say a prayer for the couple:

Im so touched to tears. Wow, how beautiful. Lord Jesus Bless her heart abundantly in your Holy name. And Keep this loving family in the shadow of thy hand forever and always. Amen.

We couldn’t agree more. May this couple be blessed both with continued health, and a wonderful marriage.
