Catholic Priest, Father Jonathan Morris is a Fox News Analyst and pastor at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in the Bronx, New York. While walking on Sunday morning, he unknowingly came upon the Gay Pride Parade and experienced an act so despicable and vile, he and tweeted about it immediately.
Father Morris, wearing his clerical clothing that easily identified him as a priest, was allegedly spat on by two gay men passed him on Broadway and 22nd.
Walking down Broadway and 22nd St. just now, I ran into gay marriage parade. Two men walked by and spat on me. Oh well… I deserve worse.

How’s that for tolerance. Being the gracious man that he is and exhibiting true Christianity, Fr. Jonathan tweeted saying that these men were the exception to the parade goers, not the norm.
The two men who spat on me are probably very good men caught up in excitement and past resentment. Most in that parade would not do that. — Fr. Jonathan Morris (@fatherjonathan) June 28, 2015
Supporters of the Supreme Court decision to allows gay marriage quickly went after the priest on Twitter with hateful responses:
. @proudliberalmom maybe they were molested by @fatherjonathan which is why he said he deserved worse…

@fatherjonathan @Roseblue Don’t you play the victim in this struggle for rights you piece of shit — Vanilla Crunch (@VanillaCrunched) June 29, 2015
.@fatherjonathan Terrible, but your church has done far worse to gays historically. Tweeting this does no good, and you know that.

And we still have those who refuse to believe Christians aren’t being attacked by the intolerant.
It seems like the trending hashtag of #LoveWins should be replaced by #IntoleranceWins, #HateWins or even #SoreWinners. This is not the first despicable act by the LGBT community and surely won’t be the last.
