Did A Democrat Congressman Accuses His Party Of Laundering Money?

Florida congressman Alan Grayson, who is as far loony tunes left as a politician can be, has admitted that the Democrat party is guilty of “laundering money.”

Grayson confessed that during Democratic primaries his party has “become a tool for that kind of (money) manipulation.”

The congressman’s objection of course was not that his party is laundering money to defeat Republicans, it’s that they’re doing so in an effort to defeat him.

“In essence the Democratic party is laundering money in favor of major donors and making it seem like they’re spending the money just so they would get their hands on the money as it’s passing through.”

Via Mediaite:

“Corporate interests throw their money around even now in Democratic primaries,” congressman Grayson admitted. “And the party has become a tool for that kind of manipulation.”

Grayson called out his Senate opponent — Representative Patrick Murphy of Florida — of not only altering his party from Republican to Democrat, but also being on the receiving end of money directly from the party in his bid to defeat Grayson.

“The party spends a million dollars to try to boost my opponent over me — my corporate Democratic — if you could ever can even call him a Democrat — my corporate Democratic opponent. The party spent a million dollars,” he said. Grayson continued to Chariton:

“In essence the Democratic party is laundering money in favor of major donors and making it seem like they’re spending the money just so they would get their hands on the money as it’s passing through.”

During the Democrat presidential campaign, Grayson endorsed Bernie Sanders and not Hillary Clinton. In his current campaign, he’s touted small donations from supporters and therefore is presumably accusing big money Clinton supporters of money laundering.

Of course, Grayson is a tried-and-true hypocrite on this matter – The New York Times outed him in February for moonlighting as a hedge fund manager whose operations were in the Cayman Islands.

Comment: When it gets right down to it, is the entire Democrat party guilty and prolific at laundering money from big money donors? Aren’t the Clintons at the top of this chain? Share your thoughts with us below.
