As Conservative Brief reports:

Country music fans around the world are currently mourning the death of Sonny James, a well renowned singer whose most famous work was romantic type ballads like “Young Love.”

He was 87 years old when he passed away at his place in Nashville Hospice.

He had originally been from Hackleburg, Alabama and was nicknamed the “Southern Gentleman” as he was a very respectable man. He was also a great songwriter, fiddler and guitarist. His nickname provided the inspiration for his band and he entered into the Country Music Hall of Fame in the year 2006.

It was in 1957 that his song “Young Love” managed to sell over 3 million copies. Other hits were “Take Good Care of Her” “I’ll Never Find Another You” and “Here Comes Honey Again.”

This is a tragic loss for music fans today. Let us pray for James’ family during this difficult time. RIP.
