Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) appeared on Fox News last night and shredded the Obama administration for destroying American credibility in the war on terrorism.

Host Greta Van Susteren asked Kinzinger how the Obama administration, particularly Secretary of State John Kerry, how they can be so upbeat about their handling of terrorism while there are simultaneously released reports that 2014 was the worst year in terms global terrorism.

Via the Daily News:

Testifying on Capitol Hill, the country’s top intelligence chief said 2014 was the worst year on record for global terrorism.

National Intelligence Director James Clapper told members of Congress that terror attacks reached their highest number since such records started being archived.

“When the final accounting is done, 2014 will have been the most lethal year for global terrorism in the 45 years (since) such data has been compiled,” he told the Senate Armed Services Committee.

In response to this contrast between reality and the administration’s view of the world, Kinzinger went off on Kerry:

I think what you see from Secretary Kerry has been this administration’s desire to claim that al-Qaeda is on the ropes, and ISIS is just that JV team. And it’s kind of this unicorn, rainbow wishing for a much different world than the one we actually live in.  It’s like they have a hard time coming to grips with the fact that in six years we’ve blown sixty years of American credibility under this President.
