Rep. Luis Gutierrez, the congressional hero of law-breaking illegal aliens, is at it again. He is proposing a bill that would make every illegal alien in America eligible for Obamacare, with legal residents paying the tab. That’s right, he wants to give illegals Obamacare.
Gutierrez, known as one of the sleaziest politicians in D.C., announced his plan on Wednesday. The number of illegal aliens could be anywhere from 11 to 15 million people. Much of the Obamacare Bill was sold based on the fact that illegals were ineligible. Many conservatives, myself included, said at the time that as soon as Obamacare would become a reality, liberals would press for illegals to get coverage, too.
“The goal is to make integration and inclusion real for millions of families that are locked out under current law.”
“As it stands right now, undocumented immigrants are not subject to the individual mandate and cannot buy into health insurance exchanges even if they use their own money. My legislation will change that. It says that we stand for inclusion.”
What he doesn’t realize is that most Americans are more interested in deportation than doling out more welfare. The establishment Republicans have been feckless on the subject, which made it possible for Donald Trump to take the lead for the GOP presidential nomination. The majority are against illegal aliens, anchor babies and visa programs that cost Americans their jobs so that businesses can get cheap labor.
Gutierrez, a member of the party that boos God at their national convention, tried to raise the specter of the Pope’s visit by saying:
“Doing unto others as you would have them do unto you means moving forward with no restrictions on which brother and sister and neighbor we think of as ‘eligible’ or ‘deserving.’”
I’m glad he said that because if I invaded someone else’s country, I would want them to boot me out of there. So, I would most happily do the same to them.
