Class Act: George W. Bush Surprises Derek Jeter & Remembers Historic Moment

Before Wednesday night’s game against the New York Yankees, the Texas Rangers honored Yankee’s star Derek Jeter with a pre-game ceremony.

However, at the end of the ceremony, which involved a prerecorded message from former President George W. Bush…Bush himself surprised Jeter on the field to give him a signed photograph.

The moment was to pay tribute to the pitch Bush threw at the first game of the World Series in October 2001…Just 1 month after the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks.

Just before the famous pitch, Jeter said, “Don’t bounce it, they’ll boo you.” Even in a somber moment, Yankees fans can be tough!

Here is video of that perfect strike:

What a special moment for baseball fans! Well done, President Bush.
