Chris Christie: No Syrian Refugees, Not Even THESE Kind

Chris Christie

New Jersey governor Chris Christie offered his thoughts on what may be the most comprehensive refusal of Syrian refugees to date. Nobody – NOBODY – is to be admitted into the United States.

In an interview with Hugh Hewitt, Christie even addressed a hypothetical involving ‘orphans under the age of five.’

The Republican presidential candidate said no, explaining that he simply can’t trust the Obama administration to effectively vet the refugees coming to America.

Chris Christie today drew the line at allowing any refugees into the United States, even young Syrian orphans.

Christie told radio host Hugh Hewitt he does not trust President Obama and his administration enough to effectively vet the refugees coming to America.

Hewitt asked if he would allow “orphans under the age of five.”

Christie said, “We need appropriate vetting, and I don’t think orphans under five are being––you know, shouldn’t be admitted into the United States at this point.”

Of course, the media is running with this as if Christie hates children. But the governor is right, you can come up with a dozen different scenarios in which certain refugees should be allowed, but the fact is the administration’s vetting process, especially with what little information is coming in from these refugees, is a recipe for disaster.

As an example: How many passengers with guns have made it past TSA security checkpoints over the years? Answer – often.

We’re supposed to trust them to vet anyone at this point?

Comment: Is Chris Christie right about the Syrian refugees, or did he go too far in saying hypothetical ‘orphans under the age of five’ should not be allowed in?
