Can You Guess How Many TSA Agents Are On The TERRORIST Watch List?

TSA

The TSA has turned out to be just another government boondoggle. I am particularly impressed with the apparently Islamic (clothing, headscarves, etc.,) employees manning the checkpoints vetting prospective passengers as they enter the gates.

Just two weeks ago, ISIS  destroyed a Russian passenger plane, killing more than 220 people apparently with the help of a sympathizer working at the Egyptian airport. And now this revelation about our airport security:

A review of screening and security procedures inside the TSA has revealed that 73 workers approved for access to secure areas are actually on the terrorist watch list.

The report (PDF) summary says:

Despite these layered controls, our testing showed that TSA did not identify 73 individuals with terrorism-related category codes. According to TSA data, these individuals were employed by major airlines, airport vendors, and other employers. TSA did not identify these individuals through its vetting operation because it is not authorized to receive all terrorism-related categories under current interagency watchlisting policy.

Following a redacted portion of text, the report continues:

TSA acknowledged that these individuals were cleared for access to secure airport areas despite representing a potential transportation security threat.

The report also indicates that these “thousands of records” contain “partially incomplete or inaccurate data, such as an initial for a first name and missing social security numbers.”

TSA

Neither TSA or the Department of Homeland Security has commented on what has or will happen to either those 73 workers or those running the failed screening program.

Give the government any job or function that seems to make sense, and in no time it will turn into a farce. Why not just get rid of the TSA, save all the money, and search anyone who looks vaguely Islamic? Of course, we would be accused of profiling, but what the heck.

At least it will make sense. We are going to “sensitivize” ourselves into bankruptcy, on our way to terminal silliness.

When I found out about this travesty, I had to bring it to you to see what you thought about this government program that continues to promote security, but they can’t get their own methods down correctly.
