NFL Legend Helps Out Sick Kids In A HUGE WAY!

This week has been tough on everyone. There aren’t a lot of good stories in the news. But here is one that I think will cheer you up and put a smile on your face.

NFL legend Bret Favre took time out of retirement in Mississippi to return to Wisconsin to help out sick children.

Via TMJ4:

Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre returned to Wisconsin Saturday to help in the fight against childhood cancer by participating in a 100 mile bicycle ride.

Favre attended the 27th Annual Trek 100 Ride for Hope which benefits Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, The MACC Fund.

The event drew a large crowd, which Favre said didn’t surprise him.

“I’m not surprised a bit. This is Wisconsin,” Favre said.

What a great guy. He could have just wrote a check and that would have been a generous enough. But to dedicate time and to travel across the country to help out a local charity, that is above and beyond!

Thank you, Bret!
