Anthony Weiner Could Face 15 Years in Prison

Seven-term Democrat Congressman, one-time frontrunner for mayor of New York City, and former “political star” Anthony Weiner could face the prospect of being slapped with a very serious charge. If you recall, his actions had a major effect on Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

The New York Post reports that Weiner could get hit with a federal child pornography charge that would result in a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison.

It stems from reports that indicate Weiner carried out an inappropriate relationship with an underage girl.

Via the New York Post:

The feds are considering a hefty child pornography charge against disgraced ex-pol Anthony Weiner that could send him to prison for at least 15 years, law-enforcement sources told The Post on Tuesday.

Weiner has been under investigation since a report last year revealed that he had exchanged lewd messages with an underage girl in North Carolina.

His lawyers have been meeting with Manhattan federal prosecutors in a bid to minimize his potential punishment, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday.

The horndog Democrat — who after being forced to resign his House seat in a sexting scandal, derailed a 2013 comeback campaign for mayor by sending lewd texts under the pseudonym “Carlos Danger” — could be charged with production of kiddie porn for allegedly soliciting explicit photos of the teen, sources said.

That crime carries a mandatory minimum prison term of 15 years, and a maximum of 30.

Weiner allegedly carried out the online relationship with the 15-year-old girl, a sophomore in high school, for months. She made it clear to Weiner that she was only 15 in the exchanged messages. But that didn’t stop him from exchanging “flirtatious” messages, and sending images of himself shirtless and wearing only boxers, etc.

Weiner’s penchant for carrying on inappropriate online relationships nearly brought down – and at the very least played a significant role in the downfall of – Hillary Clinton’s campaign. The laptop he used for this particular relationship was seized by federal agents, leading FBI Director James Comey to announce in the weeks leading up to the election that some of Clinton’s emails to Huma Abedin had been located on it.

It was a late October surprise that many Democrats still blame for the downfall of Hillary’s failed campaign.

Weiner is very clearly a disturbed individual, and this latest entry into his personal diary proves he belongs behind bars. It looks like that might become a reality in the near future.
